Ravindra Jadeja looking forward to playing the Sri Lanka series: I feel good to be back with the Indian team

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is happy to be back with the national team after recovering from injury and looks forward to playing against Sri Lanka in the upcoming T20I and Test series. Jadeja has been in rehabilitation after suffering injuries in the November 2021 friendly against New Zealand in Kanpur.

After missing the Test and ODI series in South Africa and the home limited surplus competition against West Indies, Jadeja returned to the Indian limited surpluses after recovering from the injury that kept him on the sidelines.

“Say hello to all-rounder @imjadeja and vice-captain @Jaspritbumrah93 as they join #TeamIndia for the Sri Lanka series. @Paytm | #INDvSL,” BCCI posted a video greeting Jadeja and Vice-Captain Jasprit Bumrah.

“It feels good to be back in the Indian team. I’m really looking forward to playing the T20 series and the Test series. I feel so good that after two months I will finally play for India,” Jadeja told a video posted on BCCI TV.

“I was keen to get my rehab right and worked hard on my fitness at NCA. Today I came here for my first training session, it feels good,” he added.

After winning the T20I series against West Indies, Team India will now look to carry their form into the three-game series against Sri Lanka which begins on Thursday. India and Sri Lanka will face off in three T20Is and two Tests, with the first game of the series being played in Lucknow on Thursday.
