Vodafone Idea Ltd., which operates under the Vi brand name, on Wednesday announced a range of offers for rural youth to help them find and prepare for government jobs.

To facilitate this, the company has partnered with job search platform Apna, English learning platform Enguru and Pariksha, a platform specializing in preparing for state employment exams.

“Primarily targeting the large prepaid user base in India, Vi Jobs & Education offers a one-stop solution for youth to search for jobs, improve their oral English skills and excel in government employment exams enabling them to to achieve their career dreams,” the company said.

Avneesh Khosla, CMO, Vodafone Idea Ltd. said: “We looked at the need gaps in consumers’ daily lives where we believe we can play a role as enablers to help them get ahead in life.”

“If we look at the youth in this country, their main aspiration is to get a good job and become more employable. The importance of digital skills and fluency in spoken English has become increasingly clear to today’s youth,” he said.

“We believe these integrated solutions will enable Vi customers to continue their efforts to gain a competitive advantage and move forward to achieve their career goals,” he added.

The three proposals were consistent with Vi’s strategy of curating a wide range of digital offerings relevant to its users to help them thrive and stay on top, the company said.
