Time Media stimulates the film business with ₹400-cr. investment

Time Media & Entertainment has announced the revitalization of its film business with new verticals and an investment of more than £400m.

The company has announced eight films, two web series and two music video projects.

Time Media announced that it has partnered with NH Studioz, a content house distributing Indian cinema content, Triflix and Ninjoor Pictures, among others, for the projects.

“We are revolutionizing the future with cutting-edge technologies that will take Indian filmmaking and content creation to the next level,” said Pravin Shah, Chairman of Time Media & Entertainment.

Aside from its established Time Films and Time Audio verticals, Time Media has now diversified into virtual studios, artist networks and film services.

“Our new verticals will complement and expand our holistically integrated offering for Indian entertainers,” said MD Sagoon Wagh.

Viral Shah, director of Time Media & Entertainment, announced that the company will soon build an advanced Chroma studio in suburban Mumbai with an investment of 100 crore.

“This will be the largest shooting range in Mumbai, spreading over 30,000 square feet and 55 feet in height,” Mr. Shah said, adding that he would have world-class technologies and would offer the best services in the country in partnership with Real Touch Studios .

While an investment of £2.75 billion is earmarked for the film business, around £25 billion will go to Time Audio, company executives said.
