Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Chennai Super Kings in the opening game of the 2022 IPL by six wickets to start on a positive note and currently sit at the top of the points table. CSK star MS Dhoni is the orange cap holder, while all-rounder Dwayne Bravo wears the purple cap.
Bravo matched Lasith Malinga’s all-time record for most wickets in the Indian Premier League. The veteran warhorse put on a brave display with the ball during CSK’s 6-wicket loss to Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2022 IPL opener at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The loss sees CSK bottom of the points table as the other eight Teams don’t have to play a game yet.

CSK didn’t break past 130 runs thanks to Dhoni’s unbeaten 50 from 38 and Skipper Jadeja’s 26 from 28. Dhoni’s last IPL 50 was 84 Not-out against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 21, 2019. With a vintage dhoni influx, CSK accumulated 47 runs from the last three overs.
