Workers at Amazon.com Inc have voted against unionizing a second warehouse in New York City, a ballot count showed on Monday, a defeat for the union organizers who just weeks ago won their first US victory at the retail giant have achieved.

About 62% of workers who voted at the company’s sorting center in Staten Island County, known as LDJ5, opposed joining the Amazon Labor Union (ALU), according to a tally by US National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) officials.
