Petrol and diesel prices were both hiked by 80 paise a liter on Tuesday, bringing the total price increase over the past two weeks to £9.20 a liter.

Gasoline in Delhi now costs ₹104.61 per liter compared to ₹103.81 previously, while diesel prices have risen from ₹95.07 to ₹95.87, according to a price release from the state fuel distributors.

Tax rates have increased across the country and vary from state to state depending on the level of local taxation.

This is the 13th rate hike since the end of a four and a half month pause in rate revisions on March 22nd.
