Jenny Bates, Director General for Indo-Pacific at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), along with other British Consulate dignitaries, visited the TVS Industrial & Logistics Parks Pvt Ltd (TVS ILP) warehouse at Redhills in Chennai.
“It’s a great thing to be here. I have been so impressed with the dynamism of what I see within the company, the growth you envision, the innovations you bring to the table and also to hear about the partnership with the UK, it has been truly impressive,” said Ms Bates.
TVS ILP, a leading warehousing company, is owned by the Rajam family and RKS Associates. In March 2021, the UK Government’s development finance institution, the CDC Group, took a significant minority stake in the company.
“On the occasion of the visit, Ms. Bates was given a tour of the state-of-the-art, one-million-square-foot industrial facility at Redhills, which occupies more than 35 acres of land,” TVS told ILP in a statement.
“It will be developed in close proximity to Chennai, the state capital of Tamil Nadu. It is home to some of TVS ILP’s key clients and has a solid Indian and global footprint,” the statement added.
