2.Calvin Johnson
Over the past 20 years, the No. 2 has hosted more talent than the top picks in the draft. Remarkably, most of them were on the defensive side of the ball. Julius Peppers, Ndamukong Suh, Von Miller, Nick Bosa and Chase Young to name a few. But amidst all these defensive pillars, Calvin Johnson stands out.
Not to take away from Miller’s second overall pick’s impact on two different Super Bowl-winning defenses, but Megatron was a one-man offensive band. Few cornerbacks could match his long strides and 4.35 for 40 speed in someone else’s shoes. Johnson was a top-notch wideout who could jump into the penthouse thanks to his 42.5-inch vertical and 36-inch arms without a lift. Johnson makes DK Metcalf look like a runt. Though he retired at age 33, he set a new season record for yards, played in six straight Pro Bowls, and recorded 731 receptions for 11,619 yards and 83 touchdowns.
