Tata Steel said on Wednesday that it would stop doing business with Russia amid the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.

“Tata Steel has no offices or employees in Russia. We made a conscious decision not to do business with Russia anymore,” a company spokesman said in a statement.

To ensure business continuity, all of the company’s steel production sites in India, the UK and the Netherlands have sourced alternative raw material sources to end its dependence on Russia, the company said. Tata Steel, headquartered in India, sourced a limited amount of coal from Russia for its operations in various regions.
