Shriram Group plans to launch a super app for its financial products called “Shriram One” in the first quarter of next fiscal year, senior officials at the company said.
“The modules are being prepared. We have different apps for different products. They will all be integrated into one as part of our digitization program,” said DV Ravi, MD, Shriram Capital.
Currently, Shriram Group has several apps including one for General Insurance, Life Insurance, Home Finance, Truck Finance, Investing, and Automall, among others.
“The merger of Shriram Transport with Shriram City Union Finance makes financial services a priority for us. We have a customer base of about 1.5 million and we have to serve them every day,” said Ajay Thomas John, chief digital officer, Shriram Capital.
The digitization work for the Shriram Group is being carried out by the company’s IT company Novac. At the moment it fulfills the entire IT needs of the Shriram group.
According to him, Shriram One will act as a supermarket for all Shriram products and its partners, in addition to offering payment services.
When asked if it was a late entrant, Mr. Ravi said the group companies already have various apps and are just waiting for integration. Also, it had a good number of customers on board.
