Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met with Boeing Defense CEO Ted Colbert on Friday and discussed opportunities for investment and growth in the maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) and aircraft leasing sectors in India.

“Union Treasury Secretary Smt. @nsitharaman met Mr. Ted Colbert, President & CEO of @BoeingDefense to discuss opportunities for investment and growth in #MRO and aircraft leasing,” the Treasury Department said in a tweet.
Mr. Colbert mentioned that Boeing is expanding its operations in India and is committed to the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
He also expressed that India has the potential to become a global MRO hub due to the reforms implemented by the government.
