  • Spurs’ second straight win on the road put them 7th in the league table

Leeds United’s relegation fears increased after Marcelo Bielsa’s side suffered a 4-0 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League game on Saturday. It was a welcome result for Antonio Conte’s men as they recovered from a 1-0 defeat by Burnley earlier this week to put on a strong show against Leeds.

Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Matt Doherty and Dejan Kulusevsk were on target as Tottenham Hotspur staged a riot at Elland Road.

A fifth defeat in their last six league games for Leeds leaves them 15th in the table, just three points clear of the last three, having played three games more than Burnley in 18th place.

Spurs’ second straight win on the road put Antonio Conte’s side seventh in the standings ahead of Wolverhampton Wanderers. Conte should be a lucky man as he was dejected following Burnley’s defeat earlier this week. Spurs were aggressive from the start and kept the pressure on Leeds throughout the one-sided contest.

Leeds fell apart early before an expectant Elland Road, conceding twice within 15 minutes as goals from Matt Doherty and Dejan Kulusevski put Spurs in the driver’s seat.

Harry Kane scored a third volley in the 27th minute to make Leeds the second side in Premier League history, after Sunderland in November 2005, to concede three or more goals in five consecutive games in the competition.

Son Heung-min ended the defeat late.
