Mercedes-Benz introduced the Made-in-India Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, which offers customers “significant” price savings. Pricing for the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class 680 4MATIC (CBU) starts at £3.20million and the ‘Made in India’ Maybach S-Class 580 4MATIC is £2.50million (all prices ex showroom in India ), as the company calls it. Mercedes-Maybach S680 is sold out until 2023, the company added. Martin Schwenk, MD & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, said: “With its fine blend of luxury, technology and individual character, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class surpasses the pinnacle of excellence. It is the new definition of luxury for the ever-evolving S-Class customers, who are young achievers in their respective fields and expect the best in luxury products and services.” “The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is the most advanced and exquisite product , which we have previously manufactured in India, and underlines our focus on the growing demand for the high-end segment in our portfolio. This sedan demands the ultimate perfection in automotive craftsmanship along with the most technologically advanced integration introduced with the new S-Class,” he said. “Therefore, it is a moment of pride for us to release the S580 4MATIC version from our manufacture. It affirms the implementation of advanced technology and flexible processes in our manufacturing process,” added Mr. Schwenk. He said demand for super-class luxury cars has increased. Last year, the company sold over 2,000 units of high-end cars, priced at more than 1 crore ex-showroom. That’s 20% of 2021 volumes. The company said it will introduce 10 new products in 2022, including the Maybach S-Class, which was unveiled on Thursday. He said the company’s retail future, where it deals directly with customers, has resonated. The company has now integrated the group’s finance arm in order to simplify the financing of its vehicles and to be able to deliver to customers more quickly.
