‘NO SMALL DEAL’

Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis said he was “deeply grateful” for the opportunity RCB gave to an “outsider”. In particular, head coach Mike Hesson confirmed on Saturday that the decision to make du Plessis the new captain was not made entirely after the auction.

“Of course, as an outsider, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity. I’ve played a lot of IPL cricket and I understand the dynamics and it’s no small thing to trust and give to an underdog who is an overseas player The job of leader My style isn’t in it, that’s certainly not my way, I will rely heavily on local players and foreign players.
