Praising Hardik, Rohit said the all-rounder had a huge impact and played a big part in the Mumbai Indians’ success, but captaining another franchise will be a different challenge for him.

“Hardik Pandya’s contribution cannot be ignored by the Mumbai Indians. He did the job perfectly for us. He is now the captain of one of the IPL franchises, best wishes to him,” Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma said in a virtual press conference.

Hardik Pandya was not retained by the Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. However, he was drafted by the Gujarat Titans as captain for Rs 15 crore.
