The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Wednesday that more than 25 per cent of spectator capacity will be allowed in the stadiums for the upcoming 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The 2022 IPL is set to be played in Maharashtra – 55 league games at three venues in Mumbai and 15 games in Pune.

IPL 2022 continues when Chennai Super Kings take on Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium on March 26th. This game will be a momentous event as the 15th edition of the IPL will welcome fans back to the stadiums after a brief hiatus due to the pandemic.

Avid cricket fans are ready to experience thrilling matches and cheer on their favorite players in the most anticipated cricket tournament of all time. Fans can buy tickets for the league phase of the tournament from 12:00 on March 23 on the official website www.iplt20.com.

The games will be played at stadiums in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune with a 25% occupancy rate as per COVID-19 protocols. A total of 20 matches each will be played at Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium, 15 matches each at Brabourne and MCA International Stadium, Pune.
