Sri Lanka resumed Day 2 at 86 for 6 and Niroshan Dickwella started back-to-back borders ahead of Jasprit Bumrah. However, Bumrah returned in the next over to defeat Lasith Embuldeniya for 1.

Niroshan Dickwella was the next man to leave when Bumrah fired him to register his first 5-wicket haul at home while Ashwin picked up a couple of wickets to bowl the Lankans for 109. SL managed to add just 23 runs in 35 balls on Day 2 and handed India a massive 143-run first-innings lead.
Sri Lanka were knocked out for the second-lowest total in Test cricket against India in the first innings of day two of Sunday’s day-night Test in Bengaluru. Angelo Mathews was the top scorer with 43 while Niroshan Dickwella added 21.
