“I was assigned to the Indian team and received information that an Indian player who suffered a head injury was taken here to the hospital. His CT scan was done and he was observed,” said Dr. Shubham. “A Sri Lankan player was also hospitalized after suffering a thumb injury in the second T20I. We’re monitoring everything,” he added.

Early in the match, India drove explosive punches from Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja to easily cover a 184-run target in the 2nd T20I, chasing it in just 17.1 overs on Saturday. Rohit Sharma’s men took an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series.

India also extended its winning streak in T20I cricket to 11 matches, a streak that began at last year’s T20 World Cup. Since then, India have won the T20I series 3-0 at home against New Zealand and the West Indies.

Rohit has now led India to 16 wins from 17 home games in the T20I, putting him ahead of England captain Eoin Morgan and New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson. Among the Indian captains, Rohit has three more wins at home than Virat Kohli and five more than MS Dhoni.
