India imported 651.24 tons of gold in the 2020-21 fiscal year, compared to 719.94 tons in the same period last year, the government said on Wednesday.
In a written response to Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Trade and Industry Anupriya Patel said imports stood at 982.71 tonnes in FY2018-19.
In response to another question, she shared that imports of toys, games and sports equipment from China are showing a declining trend.
“Imports of these products from China have declined from $451.71 million in 2018-19 to $206.11 million in 2021 (from April 2021 to January 2022),” she added.
