Happy Holi: India’s captain Rohit Sharma has come up with a hilarious video as he struggles to perfect a video shot to congratulate his fans on Friday’s “Festival of Colours”.

India captain Rohit Sharma wished his fans and supporters the festival of colors, Holi, from his hotel room in Mumbai as he prepares for the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL). Rohit didn’t find it easy to record a video message for his fans, he performs the pull shot, as it took several takes to do it.

Rohit Sharma had fun with his family as his wife Ritika Sajdeh broke the news as the star cricketer tried to tape the Holi wish for his fans.

“All I want to say is Happy Holi. While you’re all having fun, please think of our furry friends and make sure you don’t ring them!” Rohit wrote as captain, urging fans to take care of the furry friends in their neighborhood while conducting the festival responsibly to celebrate.

Even after several iterations, Rohit was unable to perfect his message. The likes of Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal erupted upon seeing their captain having fun in the video messages.

“The funniest Holi wish on the internet today!” Mumbai Indians responded to the skipper’s message.

Holi is one of the biggest religious festivals in India, especially in the northern states. The Festival of Colors marks the beginning of the spring season in the country. Several athletes wished for fans on this special day.

Former Indian batter Mohammad Kaif recalled enjoying the festival of Holi growing up in Allahabad.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma will lead the Mumbai Indians in the new 2022 IPL season, which will feature 10 teams. Rohit joined the Bio-bubble in Mumbai after leading India to a 2-0 win over Sri Lanka in his first series as Test captain.

The Mumbai Indians begin their campaign against the Delhi Capitals on March 27, a day after the Chennai Super Kings take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening game of the 2022 IPL.
