Gold fell £200 to £53,033 per 10 grams on Friday in the state capital, according to HDFC Securities, in line with weak international precious metals prices.

Silver, however, rose ₹193 to ₹70,449 per kg from ₹70,256 per kg in previous trade.

In the international market, gold was trading lower at $1,990 an ounce and silver was flat at $25.84 an ounce.

“Gold traded with spot prices on the COMEX trading 0.40% lower at $1,990 an ounce on Friday. Gold prices saw selling on mixed global signals on inflation concerns awaiting US FOMC decision next week,” said Tapan Patel, senior analyst (commodities) at HDFC Securities.
